|Abercrombie & Fitch Co was incorporated in Delaware in 1996. The Company is a specialty retailer, which operates stores and direct-to-consumer operations. Through these channels it sells products, including casual sportswear apparel, including knit and woven shirts, graphic t-shirts, fleece, jeans and woven pants, shorts, sweaters, and outerwear; personal care products; and accessories for men, women and kids under the Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids, and Hollister brands. It also operates stores and direct-to-consumer operations offering bras, underwear, personal care products, sleepwear and at-home products for girls under the Gilly Hicks brand. As of February 1, 2014, the Company operated approximately 843 stores in the United States and 163 stores outside of the U.S. The Company operates in three reportable segments: U.S. Stores, International Stores and Direct-to-Consumer. Rooted in East Coast traditions and Ivy League heritage, it is the essence of privilege and casual luxury. The Adirondacks supply a clean and rugged inspiration to this youthful All-American lifestyle. Idolized and respected, it is timeless, and always cool. Carefree and undeniably pretty, Gilly Hicks is the All-American brand with a Sydney sensibility. A majority of the Company’s merchandise is shipped to the Company’s two distribution centers in New Albany, Ohio where they are received and inspected. The Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie, Hollister, Gilly Hicks, Moose and Seagull trademarks have been registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the registries of countries where stores are located. It competes with individual and chain fashion specialty stores as well as regional and national department stores.|
