DESCRIPTION
| Hawkins, Inc. was founded in 1938 and incorporated in Minnesota in 1955. It became a publicly-traded company in 1972. The Company distributes bulk chemicals and blends, manufactures and distributes specialty chemicals for its customers in various industries. The Company currently conducts business in two segments: Industrial and Water Treatment. Its industrial segment of business specializes in providing industrial chemicals, products and services to industries such as agriculture, energy, electronics, food, chemical processing, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, medical device and plating. Its principal products are acids, alkalis and industrial and food-grade salts. Its Water Treatment segment of business specializes in providing chemicals, equipment and solutions for potable water, municipal and industrial wastewater, industrial process water and non-residential swimming pool water. It has the resources and flexibility to treat systems ranging in size from a single small well to a multi-million-gallon-per-day facility. |
