| Luna Gold Corp. (Luna) is in the business of mineral exploration, mine development and is engaged in the operation, acquisition, exploration, development and of gold properties in Brazil. The Company’s two gold properties located in northeast Brazil. The Company’s principal product is the gold produced from its Aurizona gold mine. The Aurizona gold mining operation consists of an open pit mine and gold processing plant. It contains the Piaba and Tatajuba deposits and over 10 near mine exploration targets. It covers approximately 15,500 hectares of land and includes a mining license and three exploration permits. The Maranhao Greenfields exploration property consists of an landholding of exploration licenses totaling approximately 190,000 hectares. In September 2012, Brazil Resources Inc. acquired 100% interest of the Cachoeira gold project, located in Para State, Brazil, from Luna. |
