| Power-One, Inc. is a designer and manufacturer of inverters for the renewable energy industry. It makes alternating current/direct current (AC/DC) and direct current/ direct current (DC/DC) power supplies, converters, and power management products for the servers, storage, networking, network power systems and industrial markets. It sells its products to original equipment manufacturers (OEM), distributors, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms and service providers. The Company operates in two business segments: Renewable Energy Solutions segment and Power Solutions segment. Renewable Energy Solutions offers inverters and accessories for the photovoltaic/solar and wind markets. These inverters convert DC energy from solar panels and wind turbines into AC energy for customer use or for the utility grid. The Power Solutions segment represents the Company's products for AC/DC, DC/DC and digital power conversion, including power conversion products for data centers. |
