| Renasant Corporation is a bank holding company. The Company owns and operates Renasant Bank (the Bank), a Mississippi banking association with operations in Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia, and Renasant Insurance, Inc., a Mississippi corporation with operations in Mississippi. Renasant Insurance, Inc. (Renasant Insurance) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bank. It operates in three segments: Community Banks segment, Insurance segment and Wealth Management segment. On February 29, 2012, the Company had 78 banking and financial services offices located throughout its markets in north and north central Mississippi, west and middle Tennessee, north and central Alabama and north Georgia. Substantially all of its business activities are conducted through, and substantially all of its assets and revenues are derived from the operations of its community banks, which offer a range of banking and financial services to individuals and to small to medium-size businesses. |
