| Ultrapar Participacoes SA is a Brazilian holding company that operates in three sectors: fuel distribution through Ultragaz and Ipiranga; chemicals through Oxiteno; and logistics for liquid bulk through Ultracargo. Ultragaz is active in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) manufacturing and distribution in Brazil. Ipiranga is a fuel distributor in Brazil, with a network of service stations, providing diesel, gasoline, ethanol, natural gas for vehicles, fuel oil and kerosene, besides lubricants. Oxiteno produces ethylene oxide and its main derivatives; specialty chemicals; and fatty alcohols and related by-products. Ultracargo provides storage for liquid bulk in Brazil. The Company is also engaged in oil refining, through a stake held in Refinaria de Petroleo Riograndense SA. In August 2012, Terminal Quimico de Aratu S.A. - Tequimar, which is controlled by the Company, acquired 100% interest in Temmar - Terminal Maritimo Do Maranhao S.A. |
