DESCRIPTION
| Delphi Automotive PLC was organized on August 19, 2009. It is a global vehicle components manufacturer and provides electrical and electronic, powertrain, safety and thermal technology solutions to the global automotive and commercial vehicle markets. Its customers include the 25 largest automotive OEMs in the world. It operates approximately 126 manufacturing facilities and 15 major technical centers utilizing a regional service model that enables them to efficiently and effectively serve its global customers from low cost countries. It has presence in around 32 countries and has over 18,000 scientists, engineers and technicians focused on developing market relevant product solutions for its customers. It is well-positioned for growth from increasing global vehicle production volumes, increased demand for its Safe, Green and Connected products which are being added to vehicle content, and new business wins with existing and new customers. It has reorganized its business into four diversified segments: Electrical / Electronic Architecture, Powertrain Systems, Electronics and Safety & Thermal Systems.
