DESCRIPTION
| Dreamworks Animation SKG, Inc., is a Delaware Corporation. The Company creates family entertainment, including animated feature films, television specials and series, live entertainment properties and related consumer products, meant for audiences around the world. Its films are distributed in theatrical, home entertainment and television markets on a worldwide basis by Paramount Pictures Corporation, a subsidiary of Viacom Inc. The Company generally retains all other rights to exploit its films, including commercial tie-in and promotional rights with respect to each film, as well as merchandising, interactive, literary publishing, music publishing and soundtrack rights. In addition, the Company continues to expand its business of creating high-quality entertainment through the development and production of non-theatrical special content such as television specials and series, live theatrical stage performances and online virtual world games based on characters from its feature films. The Company conducts its business mainly in two studios—in Glendale, California, and in Redwood City, California. Its films and other projects compete on a level with all forms of entertainment and even other consumer leisure activities. |
