| Farmer Bros. Co. (Farmer Bros.) is a manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of coffee, tea and culinary products. The Company is a direct distributor of coffee to restaurants, hotels, casinos, hospitals and other foodservice providers, and a provider of private brand coffee programs to Quick Serve Restaurants (QSR's), grocery retailers, national drugstore chains, restaurant chains, convenience stores, and independent coffee houses, nationwide. The Company is focused on distributing its owned brands through the Companies’ direct-store-delivery (DSD) network. The Company reaches its customers in two ways, including through the Company’s nationwide DSD network of approximately 500 delivery routes, 117 branch warehouses and six distribution centers, and by using the distribution channels of the Company’s national retail and institutional customers. In July 2011, the Company closed its distribution center in Fridley, Minnesota. |
