| Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (Lionsgate) is an entertainment company with a presence in motion picture production and distribution, television programming and syndication, home entertainment, family entertainment, digital distribution, new channel platforms and international distribution and sales. During fiscal year ended March 31, 2012 ( fiscal 2012), Lionsgate released 14 motion pictures theatrically, which included films developed and produced in-house, films co-developed and co-produced and films acquired from third parties. In January 2012, it acquired 16 % interest in Celestial Tiger Entertainment. On January 13, 2012, it acquired Summit Entertainment, LLC, an independent global theatrical motion picture development, production, and distribution studio. Effective March 26, 2013, CBS Corp acquired 50% interest in The TV Guide Network from the Company. |
