DESCRIPTION
| PostRock Energy Corporation is a Delaware corporation formed in 2009. It is an independent oil and gas company. It acquires, explores, develops, produces and gathers crude oil and natural gas. It manages its business in one segment, production. Its production activity is focused in the Cherokee Basin, a 15-county region in southeastern Kansas and northeastern Oklahoma. It also has oil producing properties in Oklahoma and minor oil and gas producing properties in the Appalachian Basin. The Company produces conventional oil and coal bed methane gas through its Cherokee Basin. As on 31 December, 2012, the Company has drilled and completed 15 new oil wells, completed three new gas wells drilled in prior years and recompleted 103 wells, almost all of which were oil related. The Company’s operations are subject to various increasingly stringent federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to the emission, release and discharge of materials into, and the protection of, the environment and the protection of natural resources and wildlife and imposing liability for pollution. |
