| TOSHIBA CORPORATION has five business segments. The Digital Product segment manufactures and sells televisions, blu-ray disc (BD) players and recorders, digital versatile disc (DVD) players and recorders, personal computers (PCs) and combined machines, among others. The Electronic Device segment provides general logic integrated circuits (ICs), optical semiconductors, power devices, logic large-scale integrated (LSI) circuits, image sensors and others. The Social Infrastructure segment offers various generation systems, power distribution systems, water and sewer systems, transportation systems and station automation systems. The Home Appliance segment provides refrigerators, drying machines, washing machines, cooking utensils, cleaners and lighting equipment. The Others segment is involved in the logistics business. On January 4, 2013, it acquired a 20% stake in Westinghouse from Shaw Group Inc. On May 16, 2013, it sold 100% stake of TOSHIBA FINANCE CORPORATION. |
