| Amedisys, Inc. (Amedisys) is a health care company focused on bringing home the continuum of care. Amedisys delivers personalized health care services to patients and their families, with approximately 11 million visits per year. The Company operates in two segments: home health and hospice. As of December 31, 2011, it owned and operated 440 Medicare-certified home health care centers, 87 Medicare-certified hospice care centers and two hospice inpatient units in 41 states within the United States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
