| Burcon NutraScience Corporation was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. The company, through its subsidiary, Burcon NutraScience (MB) Corp. develops plant protein ingredients for the food and beverage industry worldwide. Its patented processes utilize oilseed meals for the production of plant proteins that exhibit nutritional, functional, and nutraceutical profiles. The company’s products include CLARISOY, a soy protein isolate, which is used in various food products, including protein shakes, power bars, soups and sauces, meats and meat analogs, and breads and baked foods; and PEAZAZZ, a soluble pea protein isolate. Its products also comprise canola protein isolates, such as Supertein that comprises albumin proteins used in beverages, confectionery, aerated desserts, and protein bars; Puratein, which consists of globulin proteins used in dressings and sauces, meat substitutes, baked goods, and protein bars; and Nutratein that can be used in human nutrition products, including protein bars, meat applications, baked goods, or nutritional beverages, as well as in animal feed. |
