| Hyatt Hotels Corporation (Hyatt) is a global hospitality company. The Company manages, franchises, owns and develops Hyatt-branded hotels, resorts and residential and vacation ownership properties globally. As of December 31, 2011, its portfolio consisted of 483 properties (132,727 rooms and units). During 2011, the Company sold six Hyatt Place and two Hyatt Summerfield Suites properties. In August 2012, it announced the opening of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Malaysia. In October 2012, Summit Hotel Properties Inc acquired eight hotels containing an aggregate of 1,043 guestrooms (the Hyatt Portfolio) from certain affiliates of Hyatt, which include Hyatt Place-Arlington, Hyatt Place-Park Meadows, Hyatt Place-Denver Tech Center, Hyatt House-Denver Tech Center, Hyatt Place-Owings Mills, Hyatt Place-Lombard, Hyatt Place-Phoenix and Hyatt Place-Scottsdale. Effective March 8, 2013, it acquired Driskill Hotel from Lowe Enterprises Inc. |
