| The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in common stocks of small capitalization companies selected for their capital appreciation potential. It normally seeks to achieve its investment goal by investing at least 65% of its net assets in the equity securities of small capitalization companies. A small capitalization company is considered to be one having a market capitalization of $2 billion or less at the time of the fund's initial investment. Companies whose capitalization exceeds $2 billion after purchase by the fund will continue to be considered small cap for purposes of this 65% limitation. |
